About Me

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I'm glad you're here and hope you find something interesting to read. Feel free to put a comment on any posts. This blog is primarily an experiment, as you can probably tell from the sporadic posting dates.Hang in there and enjoy.

I enjoy working on cars. I have an older XTerra 4x4 that needs a lot of TLC. My garage is nearly a working automotive shop..or at least I like to think it is. I enjoy collecting tools and learning how to use them. Online videos usually get me 80% of the way through a project. My dad is still around to help me get the job finished. I usually have a leak or missing part that he's quick to notice.

During temperate months I enjoy riding mountain bikes. In 2019 I had an accident while riding and fractured and dislocated my forearm. I also had a hairline fracture in my left arm. I spent almost 3 months in a support of some kind, then another 3 months of therapy. One year later I literally tore my old bike apart because I couldn't get the courage to get back on it. I salvaged an old Schwinn Mesa ('86?) and had it rebuilt. This is the "new" old ride.

To start off the new year I bought my first electric Nissan Leaf. I had to have this because it's red. Not nearly as fast as my Camaro, but it's still fun. Learning how to drive and fuel this little ride has been a challenge. I should post some blogs about fueling, parking, and driving the Leaf. Most of the electric cars on the rode have the same challenges.
