Summer is nearly over. This weekend is the last hurrah before school starts. I'm with my kids at the neighborhood pool. There are many people here at the pool. I suppose everyone had the same idea.
I don't blame them. It's a beautiful evening. The sun just set and the pool lights haven't yet come on. My kids are fighting over who gets the only pair of goggles they brought.
My kids keep asking me what time it is because they know the pool lights come on at 8:30. Right now my older daughter is crying to me because her brother took the goggles. She just called me mean.
I'm going to crack open a beer and watch them swim for a bit, then eventually get in the water.
